My Husband and I have been going through the financial crunch, like allot of the economy has been. I was laid off from work in Oct. of last year and my husband recently has been only working 28 hours a week. We have definitely learned how to budget and the Lord has blessed us on keeping us healthy. Where we are struggling right now is keeping our girls in the school that they have known as their home for the last 10+ years. We have 4 girls: Keli, who graduated Valedictorian from LMCA in 2006; Lynzee, who has attended LMCA since 2nd grade and now will be a senior, and is the running for Valedictorian, and has been the pitcher on the Varsity Softball Team since her freshman year; Kayla, who is entering the 6th grade, and Lauryn who is entering the 4th grade, they both have attended since preschool, and only knows the way of being able to pray at school at any time, to say ‘God’ in school, having such loving teachers and staff. My littlest one, Lauryn, is afraid if she goes to a public school she will get beat up for saying ‘GOD’ or not being able to pray when she feels the need to; this just crushes our hearts when she talks to us about this. GOD opened a door for me when I was laid off of work, to be assistant coach on the girls softball team this last year, and ‘OH’ what a blessing these girls where to be around, to coach, to play ball with, the Lord works wonders in our lives! And to work with Coach K and Coach Wellman, I learned allot from both of these coaches, on the field and off, what a blessing they were and are to me and my family! And Coach Newton for believing in me! Unfortunately, if Lynzee has to attend a public school this year, she will not be able to play her senior year of softball due to the NIAA rules of sitting out a year of sports when you switch schools. This will be devastating to her along with she will miss out on being Valedictorian, and graduating with her friends and teachers who have been her role models since she was in 2nd grade, which she started out with Mrs. Mitchell, what a blessing she is and all the teachers are ☺ I also had the opportunity to volunteer my time at the school, from helping the teacher’s grade papers to driving the kids to school functions to being there at school with my girls and being surrounded by the staff and teachers at LMCA that always made me feel welcomed and loved! LMCA has been a home to our girls and to our whole family, it is just so hard to imagine if our girls were not able to keep attending LMCA, it’s like moving out of their home per say, because LMCA is not just a school to us, it is a place to learn and grow spiritually! LMCA has taught our whole family! Our hopes are that we are able to receive the help we need financially to keep our girls attending LMCA this year and next year to be back up on our feet to be able to help another family in need like we are. We appreciate you taking the time to read this, and helping in any way that you’re able to from donating to praying for us, we appreciate it! God Bless, The Freund Family
